Bochery Nature Whitening Cream and Cicatrizel Gel Review

Bochery Nature Whitening Cream and Cicatrizel Gel Review

So were did I first discover Bochery Nature? Some of you might have already read my post about Olympia Beauty and some of the brands I came across there. Bochery Nature, with Greek origins, was one of the brands there and I was attracted to their stand like a magnet because of their magnificent display! It looked beautiful and it’s so simple to find the products you wanted just by looking at the wall! What am I talking about? Read Olympia Beauty to find out for yourself. 🙂

I chatted to and swapped business cards with Elena, and a few days later we got in contact. I got so excited when she liked my blog and wanted me to review some Bochery Nature products. Rather than sending out a random set of products, I got loads of help in choosing the right ones according to my skin concerns.

What’s special about Bochery Nature is their innovative and advanced technology, which is really a perfect fit for my blog. All their products are naturally derived from plants and are free from parabens, allergens and alcohol. However, that’s not the best bit because Bochery Nature incorporates Nanotechnology & Biotechnology into their products. How cool is that! I’m actually learning a bit of biomaterials (geeky, I know) at the moment and it all makes sense! Thus their key products are lotions and potions that help to target the hard to treat conditions like anti-ageing, scars, acne and skin discoloration.

The ones I’m reviewing today are Cicatrizel Gel and Intensive Whitening Cream because I suffer from acne scarring and skin discoloration from old scars.

Bochery Nature Intensive Whitening Cream

Bochery Nature Intensive Whitening Cream* (75ml/£38.80)

Product Description:

Intensive Whitening Cream is generally used to reduce the appearance of hyperpigmented skin on the body or face. The use of special base ingredients and high quality actives is what brings out the true effectiveness of the advanced melanin reducing formula and sets us apart from other manufacturers.”

My View:

(Smell):  Well, it smells like plants. I would say something close to aromatic woods with a bit of soft floral on to the Fragrance Wheel. However, I really can’t tell which plant, flower or aroma it contains. But according to the ingredient list it might be: kojic, bearberry, mandarin and daisy.

(Texture): The texture of this face cream is very thick so you have to take some time to spread it all out. However, even though it’s thick, it’s not oily at all unlike the Kiehl’s Skin Rescuer. It takes a minute or so for it to absorbed, but it always makes my face feel super smooth and dewy once absorbed.

(Result): First of all, I just wanted to put it out there that whitening does not mean anti-tanning! Most people tend to stay away from whitening products because they think it’ll make them look paler. However, I think the word “whitening” is wrongly used in all “whitening” products because these products brighten and even out skin tone, not reduce the overall colour.

The product description says that it takes around 3-4 weeks to see an initial result and 2-3 months to see full result. I’ve been using this product for around 3 weeks now and I can see my skin improving from week to week; the most improvement in the past two weeks because I used it morning and night rather than morning only. To be honest, my skin looks a little patchy at the moment, not because it made my scars come out more, but because it reduced the big dark patches to several smaller and fainter patches. I’m really happy with it because I feel that my scars are easier to cover up now and it looks closer to flawless when covered up with BB cream.

Bochery Nature Cicatrizel Gel* (40ml/£22.95)

Product Description:

Nanotechnological approach of skin lesions and scars. The process of regeneration and repairing of the skin accelerate wound healing by activating and sustaining the intrinsic regenerative potential of the skin and cultivating epidermal stem cells in situ and in vivo, the remodeling of the fundamental substance of the skin and restruction of collagen.

My View:
(Smell): Very similar to the Intensive Whitening Cream, but a little less aromatic and a little more green (like aloe vera) according to the Fragrance Wheel.

(Texture): Simple! It’s a gel, rather similar to the Pukka Radiance Serum. It’s a little sticky upon application (possibly due the aloe vera taking effect), but it get absorbed after a minute or so.

(Result): I’ve been using this gel sort of as a serum before applying the Intensive Whitening Cream. It’s rather soothing and calming and it helps to even out the surface of my skin. This gel works well to reduce redness and inflammation, not immediate but over time.

I have a few indentations on my cheeks as a result of huge spots. I think it’s helped to reduce the size of the tiny ones judging on how smooth my skin looks and feels. However, it’s very difficult to guess just to what extent it will reduce those uneven surfaces. I guess a follow up review is definitely needed if it does work like magic.

The price of these products is on the expensive side, but considering just how much a laser treatment would cost, then £20-£40 isn’t bad at all. Besides, Bochery Nature has a 30% off offer at the moment. A tub of the Intensive Whitening Cream will definitely last one treatment and that’s probably good enough to reduce the majority of your scars.

Background: somewhere between King’s Road and Fulham Road. A little bit of an autumn scenery with a church and some apartments. 😛
