Good Things Bright Eyes Eye Cream Review

Good Things is a brand introduced to me by a non-blogging friend. I initially thought the name was a bit funny, but I guess after all this brand is full of “good things!” You can buy Good Things from Boots and in large supermarkets like Sainsbury’s and Tesco. I think in Boots you can find it on the bottom shelf by all the acne treatment products. Good Things is mainly aimed for young blemish-prone skin, but their Total Wipe Out Cleansing Wipes, Fresh Start Creamy Cleanser and Bright Eyes Eye Cream, are products that suit all. Although a small brand with a nine-product-collection, it’s very impressive that Good Things made their way to Boots and won the Cosmopolitan Beauty Awards in 2011 with Stop that Spot Clearing Gel. Nope, that’s not the “greatest thing” about Good Things, the “goodest thing” is that their products smell heavenly: mild, refreshing, fruity, sweet, heavenly and yummy!

Product Description:
“Eye creams need to be light, so as not to overload the
delicate skin around the eye, yet hard-working, which means they need to be
packed with effective ingredients. Bright Eyes has skin-calming raspberry and
clarifying lychee, plus a brilliant new tri-peptide that is proven to tackle
puffiness and dark circles, and brighten the eye area.”
My View:
Smell: This is the only product in Good Things collection that doesn’t smell like it’s been “marinated in a fruit punch.” Bright Eyes Eye Cream is in fact fragrance free, to suit the delicate area around the eye. In fact, other than being fragrance free, it is also free from parabens, mineral oils, sodium laureth sulphate and animal testing. The smell of Good Things Bright Eyes Eye Cream is mild, sweet, berry-like and perhaps a little rejuvenating too. It definitely falls under the fruity category on the fragrance wheel.
Texture: As you can see from the photo above, the texture is super light and silky! It spreads out easily, so all you need a is a pea sized amount for both eyes.
Result: The best thing about Good Things Bright Eyes Eye Cream is that it’s very moisturising without being too heavy. It’s got a very light formula so even if you get it in your eyes (erm, I hope this is normal and not just me being clumsy) it doesn’t sting at all. However, I really can’t tell if it’s erased my dark circles because my eyes certainly don’t look any different after two months.
I recommend Bright Eyes Eye Cream as a starter eye cream for those who are just getting into using eye cream. It’s super cheap (for an eye cream anyways) and it really keeps the most delicate part of your skin nicely moisturised.
Behind the Scene Background:
These photos are taken at Queen Mary’s Gardens at Regent Park. I already talked about how I battled through the storm to get some pretty photos that day. If you want to see another picture of Queen Mary’s Gardens, feel free to check out this post: Origins High Potency Night-A-Mins. And what’s the best thing about battling through a storm? After every storm comes a rainbow!

    Gorgeous pictures as always.
I currently use this along with HealGel, I mix them up depending on what I fancy each morning and night. I think this is really nice and it's super affordable, I find that the range is often on offer in Sainsbury's.

Thank you once again! That's the best thing about this eye cream, super affordable and it does the job of an expensive high-end one. Haha, I got mine on offer 馃槢 x

It's not a big brand, but they do sell some amazing products! I've tried the spot clearing gel before, it's good but not the best in terms of spot treatment 馃槈 x

Great pics as ever. This is cheap for an eye cream, worth remembering for 'tight' months!
