Battersea Park Fireworks Display 2013 Experience

On 02. November 2013 (today, if you’re reading this now) I went to the Battersea Park Fireworks Display, which is one of the biggest in London hosting over 40,000 people. Other than fireworks, there were loads of stands selling fast food and drinks. A lot of people were disappointed by the tiny bonfire they had set up this year (apparently the bonfires from previous years had been magnificent), but to me it looked pretty good. I brought my nice camera with me and started snapping lots of lots photos. Here are some of the nice ones I took! Some of…

A Diary Entry to Rush Blogger Meet (#RushBloggerMeet)

Yay! Yet another event! #RushBloggerMeet is a much talked about event on Twitter. The event was organised by Becky (Lipgloss and Lashes) and Laura (Lauzzenger) at the House of Rush in Picadilly. I went alone, and I was a little bit surprised when I arrived because there was hardly anyone there. However, I was kindly greeted by Laura and Becky when I walked through the glass doors. Someone working there offered to take my jacket, how nice. It’s all about first impressions these days, haha. Anyways, I found out that most of the event happened upstairs. There’s an upstairs? How exciting! The upstairs…

A Diary Entry to Lypsso Launch Party with Nuffnang

I was invited to Lypsso Launch Party last Sunday as a part of the Nuffnang blogging community. Before going to the makeup party, I met up with some fellow Nuffnangers at Goswell Road Streetcoffee. The super fun and chilled pre-event meetup was organised by Jesse, who is basically the leader of the nuffies. When I arrived, I was greeted by Jesse (Hecticophilia), Emma (Bloomzy) and Patricia (The Juicy Glambition), all looking gorgeous without makeup. Yes, it was a “go without makeup” sort of party, so we could all get our makeup done there. Seconds after I’d arrived, this girl who got…

A Diary Entry to Olympia Beauty 2013

What is Olympia Beauty? It’s a trade show open for all beauty professionals and anyone working or studying in the beauty industry. Have you ever been to a food show like Good Food? It’s sort of like that. However, the entrance tickets (pre-registered) were free for everyone in the beauty industry, but it costs £20 at the door for shoppers. The show ran for two days: 22-23 September. I only went to the Sunday one because I thought one day was more than enough. All About Nails I arrived around 2pm, by that time a good amount of people had…

Fusion@London 2012 and Fashion Strikes

Now that London Fashion Week is over, let’s talk about an interesting fashion project which you can get directly involved in! In February 2012 I was lucky enough to model for an inter-University fundraising show called Fusion@London. Fashion, music and dance were central to the show. Emerging designers such as Nova Chiu, Vivien of Holloway, Jennifer Morris and Ramil Makinano lent out some exciting pieces for the show. Angel and Charli xcx were some of the headline acts! However, being backstage, I didn’t get to see their acts. Nonetheless, backstage has its positive sides such as having our makeup professionally done…
