When you’re running out of beauty products to review, you start digging out some of your old old treasures! This Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick is definitely an old treasure! It’s literally the product I’ve had for the longest time in my current beauty collection. It’s not the first makeup product I’ve ever bought, but it’s the one item that survived every single beauty product clean up. I know that you’re meant to throw away powdered makeup after two years, but I don’t have the heart to get rid of this three-year-old beauty! These photos are pretty old too (from last summer), but they don’t look that bad so I decided that I’ll stick with these rather than taking a set of new ones.

My View:
Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick is the one product I stick to when it comes to highlighting. It’s got a beautiful neutral colour when blended and it goes well with every kind of makeup look. In addition, you can use the different shades separately if needed. The one I am review is called “Pink”, but they must’ve either changed the name of this one or made it a limited edition because I can’t seem to find a Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in the shade Pink that looks exactly like this one. Yes, these award winning shimmer bricks comes in loads of different shades like nectar, bronze and beige.
This product saved my life last year and the year before during my exam revision period. It instantly transformed my face from looking like a zombie to bright and beautiful. Besides, this is my go-to product when I’m busy in the morning and don’t have time to apply a BB cream. However, you need to be careful with this Shimmer Brick in terms of how much you apply. I always tap off or brush off some excess product on my hand because I like to go for a natural look rather than a bright glowing face.
The one I got came with a mini Face Blender Brush. I fell in love with this Bobbi Brown brush when I first got it because back then it was the softest brush I had. It’s not as soft now because I’ve had it for a few years, but it’s still nice to use. So what I can conclude about this brush after having it for so long is that the quality is fantastic.

I swatched this a couple months ago and was surprised how soft it was in forms of texture. I would not have the heart o throw out beautiful thing like this either. I personally things powder products are fine for longer than 2 years.
