Golf with Monarch (+ Wine Tasting)

Golf with Monarch (+ Wine Tasting)

Best bloggers event in a long time! What a statement! Anyways, last Wednesday I went to a blogger event organised by Talented Talkers and Monarch Airlines. It took place at N1 Golf at Greenwich Peninsula on the evening One Direction was playing at the O2 Arena. Thankfully we managed to avoid the loud teenagers and unimpressed parents!

As you can tell from the photos, this event was slightly different from some other events I’ve been to. I decided to give golf a shot because why not? I love trying new things and this was a real challenge! Before taking a shot at golf, we were given a mini group lesson by one of the instructors. We were then divided into groups of 3-4 people to give golf a go and for some people it was a chance to show off their skills. I was in a group with Clickstay (a holiday villa rental service, kind of like Airbnb) and Rebecca from Bec Boop.

That’s not all!! The evening ended with drinks and canapes at Vinothec Compass, the restaurant just below the N1 Golf range. Honestly, I really can’t describe how amazing the food was, but the pictures speak a thousand words – so do take a look at the photos below if you haven’t already! 😉

I laughed way too much that evening and I also think that I had too many glasses of wine! Haha!

I must admit that I have absolutely no hidden talent in golf, but Alex from ClickStay was a natural and claimed two flight tickets with the longest drive! Yes, there were prizes on the day for the longest and second longest drive and a prize for the best social media post! Of course, with only 60 yards I was nowhere close the record drive that evening. However, with my streak of luck, I did win the social media competition with this tweet! So now I have to decide where I’d like to go with my return tickets. Take a vote guys, the choices are: Faro, Malaga, Alicante, Barcelona and Gibraltar, which are some of Monarch’s top golf holiday destinations!
