Arran Aromatics Lavender Tea Tree Facial Gel Wash Review

I received this Arran Aromatics Lavender Tea Tree Facial Gel Wash in my August Beautecobox (now Love Me Beauty). I wasn’t too keen on it when I first received it because I thought tea tree oil combined with loofah would be very harsh for my skin, but I was taken by surprise when I started using it two months ago.

This product is just different in terms scent, packaging and content! I’ve never seen anything like it! Arran Aromatics is a luxurious brand, driven by nature! It’s one of those brands you’d expect to see in a 5 star hotel or at a posh spa, yet all their products are affordable and can be bought online and in department stores. Their product collection includes After the Rain, Island Spa, Apothecary, Feel Good Formula etc. etc. Lots to choose from, just have a look yourself. Great Christmas gift choices too!

Arran Aromatics Lavender Tea Tree Facial Gel Wash Review
Arran Aromatics Lavender Tea Tree Facial Gel Wash (拢12.95/100ml)
Product Description:
“A truly unique facial wash combining naturally exfoliating loofah with the deep cleansing antibacterial action of tea tree and the healing, soothing properties of lavender. You鈥檒l love the soft smooth results.”
My View:
(Smell): Well, it smells very “grown up and sophisticated”… I can’t really define the smell, but there’s definitely a scent of lavender and tea tree in there. It’s very “aromatic” and maybe a little woody too when referring to the fragrance wheel.
(Texture): The texture is gel-like (as suggested by the name) and it smoothes out really easily upon contact with water. There’s a small amount of exfoliating loofah inclusions which help to remove dead skin cells. You can hardly see them in the image above, but they’re definitely there.
(Result): This is one of the face washes I like to go for when I feel that a break-out is coming through! It’s the best of both worlds really, as the tea tree oil helps to treat minor break outs, whilst the lavender soothes and moisturises the skin. In addition, the loofah grains help to smooth out rough surface. However, this face wash does not remove makeup and you probably want to keep it away from your eyes. I did find it very soothing though, but the smell is a little too woody for me.
